Hannah Townsend has been successfully practicing Traditional/Classical Five Element Acupuncture in Southwell since 1995.
Hannah’s history in the caring profession started young as a nanny and she then went on to work as an Enrolled Nurse (General) in hospitals and homecare in Warwickshire and Nottinghamshire. After injuring her back while nursing Hannah discovered Acupuncture.The successful treatment for the back injury along with PMS and other conditions proved to her the power of acupuncture in a very positive way. From this personal experience Hannah embarked on a career as a Traditional Acupuncturist.
The discipline Hannah decided on was Traditional/Classical Five Element Acupuncture, training at the College of Traditional Acupuncture UK in Warwickshire. The founder Professor JR Worsley learnt this ancient treatment from masters in the far east. Professor Worsley is sadly no longer with us, however an in depth understanding of the origin and treatment of Five Element Acupuncture is practised by Hannah today at her clinic. Hannah has never looked back since starting working with Acupuncture as she has seen so much success with her patients improving conditions.
One of Hannah’s great joy’s of working with acupuncture is seeing people walking out of her clinic smiling, well and ready to face the world. Hannah is currently treating a wide variety of conditions within her practice with ages spanning from pre-conception to old age as acupuncture is effective treatment alone or to compliment western medicine.
