What Happens when you come for Five Element Acupuncture Treatment • At the initial consultation a patient will be asked about their main complaint and to give a full medical history. We look at the persons system as a whole therefore it is vital to asses this in detail. The actual treatment plan will then based around each individual’s needs, taking into consideration age, medical symptoms, general constitution and life circumstances.
• Treatments starts with weekly appointments, progressing to longer intervals as necessary because individuals respond differently. Generaly a patient reaches the point where treatment is required at the change of season. Individual cases vary, and some conditions may take longer to treat, and this will be explained as treatment progresses.
• Treatment consists of the insertion of very fine needles, sometimes the needles stay in other times they are inserted and manipulated for a split second. The needles stimulate the Qi enabling enhancement of the healing system within each of us.A herb moxa is sometimes used to stimulate the Qi on certain patients, this is burnt on the surface of the skin to introduce heat to the system.
